Tamil have mingled and enriched the city famous for the Nawabi traditions of                                                                                                
graciousness. The twin cities of Hyderabad-Secunderabad fusion is from the

th
century onwards and all the cultures that reigned in the twin cities since then
have left indelible marks on them.
Hyderabad is an agriculturally and industrially advanced city, and enjoys the
reputation of accommodating major industries, educational institutions, several
Universities, and International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics
(ICRISAT), ICAR and other Government of India Institutions. It adds pride to the
"Deccan" as this region is known.

Charminar:
A magnificent edifice of 400 years.
Golkonda Fort:
On an isolated hill, it spreads over a 3km radius and represents
the proud product of the world famous Kohinoor Diamond.
Tourist Attractions:
There are innumerable locations that attract large number
of tourists and visitors, like Qutub Shahi Tombs, Mecca Masjid, Salarjung
Museum, Paigah Tombs, Osmania University, Lumbini Park, Falaknuma Palace,
designed by Italian architect, Nehru Zoological Park, NTR Gardens, Hussain
Sagar Lake, Birla Mandir, Birla Planetarium cum Science Museum, Durgam
Cheruvu, Hitech city, Shilparamam, Ramoji Film City, Mahavir Harin Vanasthali
Zoo Park, which attract large number of tourists and visitors. The 350 tonnes
monolithic statue of Lord Buddha erected in the Hussain Sagar Lake and Necklace
Road are great sights to see and enjoy.
Hyderabad and its region feature many a important sites for research
and education, including multiple universities, making the city a center
of advanced learning and research in science and technology. Some

Hyderabad is the "Seed Capital" of India and enjoys the pride of
being the headquarters of most of the major seed companies and
R &D facilities and seed processing facilities. Cotton is principal
commercial crop of the state with nearly 8 to 10 lakh hectares and
contributes to about 15% of the national production. Hybrids and
transgenic hybrids are grown extensively.
The First Afro Asian games were held in this city in 2003 and also
the World Billiards Championship in the same year. Mr. Bill Clinton
when he was President of the USA visited the city. Mr. Bill Gates
of Microsoft, USA is also a visitor to this Hitech city, which can
