Meeting specific information

ICGI 2006 Research Conference will be held in Brasilia, DF, Brazil, September 18-20, 2006. The ICGI Research Conference is scheduled to follow the ICAC Plenary meeting that will be held in Goiania, GO, from September 11-15, 2006, which is a short flight from Brasilia. There will be two and one half days of ICGI meetings, information on optional tours to follow. Brasilia is the capital of Brazil and about 2 hours flight from Sao Paulo. Flight times from the US range from 8-10 hours.

Meetings will be held at the Blue Tree Park Hotel, a 5-star hotel, go to locations and select Brasilia. Room rates are estimated to range from US$ 93, for a Standard room with single occupancy, to US$ 125, for a Superior room with double occupancy. Exact rates will vary according to currency exchange rates at the time.

All Research Conference information will be distributed by email and on the ICGI website. If you know of anyone who does not have access to to email and internet connections, please contact them with this information.

The first deadline to be established is that for pre-registration, March 6, 2006.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE PRE-REGISTRATION FORM NOW, SO THAT THE MEETING SESSIONS AND SCHEDULE CAN BE DEVELOPED.




Visa

A valid visa from a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate is required to enter Brazil. Arrangements will be make to provide a written invitation letter for the prospective partcipants to initiate the paperwork for travel. However, official travel documents from the Foreign Affairs Office for visa application will only be sent to individuals whose completed pre-registration forms are received.


Language

English and Portuguese will be the official languages during the Conference.
