Arrival and Departure Assistance
The host organization, Cotton Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (or China Cotton Research Institute, CCRI) will pick up/see off all international participants at Beijing International Airport. CCRI has set up a working group (group 4 in Local Executive Committee) who will provide all assistance needed in transit (like airport/train station transfers) at arrival time in Beijing as well as at departure time from Beijing. CCRI will provide transportation for all international participants at Beijing International Airport from/to Beijing Train Station. The international participants should send travel plan regarding arrivals and departures to Ms. Wang, Xiaohui (see contact information below) sufficiently in advance though e-mail, preferably before June 1, 2008.

There are several means of transportation between Beijing and Anyang, the best and most comfortable is via high-speed rails. The high-speed trains take about 3.5 hours and may be faster in future. It is recommended for participants to take a high-speed train. CCRI will reserve and purchase train tickets between Beijing and Anyang for all international participants who provide with required travel information.
For those international participants who enter China via Shanghai, flight connections to Handan Airport (25 miles from downtown of Anyang City) became available August 1, 2007. CCRI will provide transportation between Handan Airport and Anyang Hotel. Please contact Mr. Zhao, Xinhua (see contact information below) before June 1, 2008 for any assistance.
